La Lingüística Aplicada es una disciplina científica que sustenta la actividad investigadora de ámbitos tan diversos como la traducción automática, la planificación lingüística, la detección de anomalías del lenguaje, la lingüística computacional, la adquisición de lenguas segundas o extranjeras. En esta monografía se pretende aproximar la enseñanza-aprendizaje del español como lengua extranjera -en tanto que actividad docente- a los alumnos de primer y segundo ciclo de las facultades afines, así como a todos aquellos profesores que, aun teniendo cierta experiencia, sienten la necesidad de reflexionar y fundamentar su actuación en el aula.
